I was a keeper at turn point light station while in the Coast Guard, my wife Gloria and I had just married and spent a two year "honeymoon" there. And that was 60 years ago!

Thanks so much for this website. I got to see photos of the lighthouses that my great grandfather, Daniel Webster Clark served at. It gave me another perspective. I'm so glad these lighthouses are being looked after - to preserve them for future generations!

As an ex Coast Guard who served my duty on Patos Lighthouse I had a great reunion in August for 101's bithday on the island with many friends and crew who have redone the lighthouse from top to bottom. Your pictue on your sight needs a new shot of the lighthouse. It looks 199% new.

I suggest that the stamps for the Souvenir Map be kept in weatherproof boxes on the outside of the Lighthouses. I have visited 5 lighthouses, but it is hard to make there when the lighthouse is open.

We love lighthouses too! We added your WLA photo and link to our website. We hope to go back to Washington soon. We still have a few more to see around the USA and Canada. We're now up to 1,074 seen so far and we'll be adding another 2 dozen this year we hope. When you come out to NJ let us know so we can meet. Hope to see you soon.
